The “I Am Haiti” dance party is more than a fundraiser, it’s a collective healing ritual, a way to help us deal with this devastation” says curator/producer Ashara Ekundayo. In addition to donated venue space from the owner of the Meadowlark Lounge, all participants have donated their time and/or product to the effort that will continue as a series for at least the next 4 months. Sponsors and partners are still being solicited. “I Am Haiti” is co-produced by “Nuba” Co-Founder, Ashara Ekundayo & Peju Alwusa of Yorubawoman Design Studio (both co-producers of Denver’s famed “AfroBlu Afterhrs Party”). www.CafeNuba.com For more information contact Ekundayo at blublakwomyn@gmail.com or 303-260-9209.
